Double Gold for Aspen Healthcare at UK Employee Experience Awards

Aspen Healthcare was a double Gold winner at the prestigious UK Employee Experience Awards (UKEXA) on Thursday 10 September.

The company won Gold in the ‘Delivering Customer Experience’ and ‘Employee Training and Development’ categories, beating stiff competition from the likes of Care UK, McLaren Automotive and Haines Watts.

Aspen’s first Gold of the evening came in the ‘Delivering Customer Experience’ category after the team presented to judges on the ‘STEP-Up-To-Safety’ scheme, a highly impactful patient safety and culture change programme. Aspen also won Gold in the ‘Employee Training and Development’ category for its Aspen People Academy, the company’s innovative leadership development programme.

Two of Aspen’s London hospitals were also celebrating success at UKEXA. Parkside Private Hospital (Wimbledon) won Gold in the ‘Employee Health and Wellbeing’ category for implementing a new health and wellbeing strategy that have since been rolled out across all eight Aspen sites. The Holly Private Hospital (Essex) also tasted success, securing Bronze in the ‘Employee-centric Company’ category in recognition of the transformative work carried out at the hospital in recent years.

Speaking about the awards, Noleen Turner, Director of Marketing said:

“These awards are recognition of our commitment at Aspen Healthcare to investing in initiatives that promote patient safety and our employees’ training and development and wellbeing.  Aspen is a great place to work and we are actively empowering our team to deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients. I know how much work was involved in developing these superb programmes, and it’s fantastic for our work across Aspen to be celebrated with these awards.”

About the UK Employee Experience Awards

Now in its 6th year, the UK Employee Experience Awards is a prestigious annual award ceremony. The awards recognise and celebrate the excellent employee reward, retention, and support measures organisations undertake to develop a productive workforce and strengthen the company from within.

With more than 40 companies presenting virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s award ceremony was unlike UKEXA events of previous years.
