Rheumatology

Rheumatology is the branch of general medicine concerned with the development, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the joints, bones, muscles and connective tissue.

We offer outpatient clinics with Consultant Rheumatologists, supported by our Diagnostic Centres for x-ray, ultrasound and MRI scanning.

Your Consultant also has access to other specialists within our hospitals and clinics to work with and refer to, (as appropriate) and our physiotherapy team for any rehabilitative treatment.

We can care for you from the diagnosis through to treatment and rehabilitation for a wide range of rheumatological conditions including:

  • arthritis
  • back, neck, shoulder, knee, ankle pain or sports injuries and rehabilitation
  • connective tissue disease
  • degenerative joint disease
  • fibromyalgia
